Turning to photography as a creative outlet during a valiant fight with breast cancer at age 34, renaissance10 survived and set up a photo contest to help raise funds for the Lavender Trust, a nonprofit that provides information and support to younger women with breast cancer. In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.

Sorry, for the lack of banner. I was traveling home from the holidays today and there was no time.

In other news, when did airplanes start having internet access? Truly, we are living in the future.

Are there any anons who can cover for me on the 10th and 17th of January? I have life sorts of responsibilities to deal with next month and I'm not sure what my sitting around and fiddling on the internet sort of time is going to look like. I'd be happy to pick up a day or two later in return!
